Akira Kikuchi is a remarkable man. He's full-time Blind Blake researcher and musician from Japan! Blind Blake was one of the most accomplished blues guitarists of the late 1920's and early 1930's. Akira has captured the sound, technique and tone of Blind Blake brilliantly, playing only original instruments from the period.
His dedication to all things Blind Blake has taken him and his guitar around the World, including some important appearances in the U.S. (KFFA radio "king biscuit time" and Memphis blues festival), and ultimately culminating in Blind Blake Flood, an 18-track album dedicated to his hero.

Akira has put a lot of research into this project to duplicate the sound of Blind Blake. He has created similiar guitars and has used similiar recording techniques to those used when Blind Blake recorded on Paramount.
