Those cats come from the cold Sweden to warm up the dance floors around the globe, their first CD is full of great R&B sounds from the 50's and 60's era.

Torbjörn "T-Bear" Solberg and Jan Lillsäter had been playing together in a Texas Shuffle trio for about 10years, when T-Bear came up with the idea of starting a band with a horn section.
The band was formed in spring 2004 and had their first gig just before Christmas the same year.

The following year the band continued doing gigs, writing some new songs and saving up money for a CD production.

In the mid summer 2006 T-Bear&the Dukes hired one of the Swedish Radios mobile studios and recorded "Let The Sweet Talk Flow" in a church-house outside of their hometown. Later that summer, parts of the band mixed the recording and sent it to Mastertone for mastering.

Thanks to Leo Castro, a legendary radio-voice in Barcelona and MySpace the band got in contact with Carlos Diaz of "El Toro Records" who was interested in releasing "Let The Sweet Talk Flow" on his label.

A promo version of the CD has been and still is played on several Blues Radio Shows in Spain, Finland, Australia, Belgium, Argentina, the Netherlands and Italy.

TEE, a.k.a. Marc Thijs, has been playing on the blues scene since 1986. He started out playing harmonica and singing in bands like THE FINSBURY PARK EMPIRE, THE SLIME HUNTERS, THE HEALERS and recorded with all of them. After switching to guitar he formed the more successful “THE ELECTRIC KINGS” , a major influence on many European blues bands. Meanwhile TEE has worked with many international touring acts on both European- and American ground.During his last eight months stay in the U.S. he recorded his first album under his own name.

The record gets rave reviews in… Rootstown, Back To The Roots, OOR, and… national radio shows like DR. Boogie, Roots 66 and PILI-PILI. The music of  Sugarland Slim captures the sound of the 1930's Mississippi 'bluesman' era with traditional acoustic slide guitar, blues harmonica, walking bass and gritty vocals. This finely polished work features Jim Suhler (George Thorogood Band) on guitars and vocals, Paul Hollis on drums and percussion, and steady bass and backing vocals by Carlton Powell. Special guest, Tim Alexander of Asleep at the Wheel fame, contributes his expertise on piano, organ and accordion.

From the smooth slide work on Deja Blue to the "back to the blues" acoustic I.O.U this is by far the best album to come from the Dallas trio.

At the end of 2004 five young blues musicians found each other through different ways but with only one gaol, creating blues music with heart and soul. They started rehearsing together and hit it off right away. Their mutual love for music from: “T-Bone, Lowell Fulson, Junior Wells, Otis Rush, Louis Jordan”, to name a few, made it easy to develop an arousing set in only a short period of time. After existing only six months, they already received the honour to kick of the Belgium rhythm and blues festival, one of the biggest festivals in Europe. From that day forward, Rusty Roots has become one of Belgium’s finest blues bands, killing stages all over the place. And thanks to their enthusiastic and passionate live performances, they are determent to stay at the top. Here's something unique-a trio of french bluesmen playing guitar and washtub/one-man-band drums/Harmonica ala Hooker, T-Model or R.L. Burnside. This is not 'cutting edge' blues, but gutbucket played with a lot of feeling and energy.

Stinky Lou & The Goon Mat are Mathias Dalle (the goon, on guitar and vocals) and his best friend Laurent Goossens (the stinky ! on the washtub)... No need to say that the duet works on strong basis ! Duet, not exactly, cause it's a trio now !!! Lord Benardo, the Harmonica player joined the band !

A repertoire of compositions of their own in the same vein than J.L.Hooker, T Model Ford, R.L.Burnside, a root-mannered guitar playing, inspired by the Delta blues, and unusual rythmics (a washtub and one man band drums !), all set immediately recalls the Juke Joints atmosphere at the heroic age. All this played with a lot of energy!!

Would you be convinced, you'd just have to listen to their brand new CD 'Fat sausage for dinner (produced by Marc T/naked productions), especially the track Tell Me. That composition of their own, worthy to the greatest songwriters, has true blues lyrics: three or four simple sentences that will move you, emphasized by a voice and a guitar-sounding that spread a wide range of emotions...
