Honey B. and her T-Bones excel in superb slide guitar-infested groovy blues executed with atmospheric hooks and raw melodies. The missing link between latter days electric Chicago blues and newer names like Black Keys? Fans of rootsy labels like Fat Possum and Yep Roc should get a slice of the shit-hot dish of Americana.
"I first heard HB & TBs in 1989 during my first tour of Europe. I was immediately knocked out with their take on the blues. I said to myself : 'this is a really great band.' Later I did a tour with them in Finland out of which came a recording that is still available today. To watch them evolve in their sound over the years has been really fun. Like so many of us they are on a musical journey not bound by any stylistic restraints. Their most recent CD inspired me so much I ripped them off a little...don't tell them, but I wrote a song that incorporates pieces of melody they had come up with . I love Honey B and the T-Bones. They personify what I love about Finnish musicians."
