Peter Glaser/ harmonica
Jens K. Dam/ drums & piano
Henrik Pedersen/ drums
One of the hardest-working roots blues musicians currently on the road in Denmark, Wolff is a solo singer-guitarist who delivers the real deal. His husky vocals, awesome guitar work and right-foot pulse-beat have gained him a faithful following over the 20 years he has been in the business.
This is the second album since his debut CD ”I’m Bonafide”, which received a nomination at the Danish Music Awards – Folk 2004 in the category “Danish Blues Release of the Year”.
“got you on my mind” mixes tradition with originality without for one second losing respect for the tradition that is Wolff’s inspiration. Faithful, authentic and entirely old-school, Wolff is a soloist who walks the line between recognition and renewal with elegance and style.
If you or your audience are interested in acoustic blues and roots, listening to this talented Danish musician will be a rewarding experience, both live and on CD. Whether on stage or in the studio, Wolff communicates his passion for his music as few others can.
Folk, blues, country, even a bit of ragtime are all in the pot, and a highly satisfying melange it is too. Occasionally reminiscent of Paul Burch, Danish native Max Wolff shows a similar awareness of, and respect for, the roots of his music, while being much more than a revivalist.
