Well, here enters Slick Andrews. A long time performer, native of Texas and resident of Kentucky. Slick’s twangy voice isn’t manufactured or contrived............... He is what he is.......... He is recreating nothing.......he is living it. His lyrics aren’t copycat from Hank Williams or Faron Young. They are from a life of heartbreak, ups and downs and hard knocks. Slick is a farm boy with attitude.

Most recently, Slick gathered with Wild Hare Records best pickers to lay down 12 tracks of pure country music. ....The way Wild Hare likes to do it. You see, Wild Hare Records believes that REAL Rockabilly is really souped up hillbilly. If it ain’t got twang...it ain’t real rockabilly. Many people feel that Slick Andrews is the ultimate rockabilly!

The CD is entitled “Let’s Beer it Up with Slick Andrews and the Wild Hare Millionaires”. As Slick says “there is something for everyone on the CD”. From 1930's wild Western Swing, to pure early 50's Honky-tonk, to mid 50's Hillbilly based Rockabilly to Mickey Gilley swingin’ piano country. This CD is a breath of fresh air in a world of look a likes and sound a likes.

The musicianship is top notch with 3 different lead guitar players, 2 steel players, real piano and the best rhythm section in the business. All recorded to glorious analog tape with the now famous Wild Hare Records vintage sound.

The Chrome Daddies are one of the hottest bands from Australia. Their style is something between Rockabilly, Blues, Truckin' Country, Hillbilly and Western Swing.

After playing the big festivals in Australia they fly over to europe in summer 2003 to do a 20 gig tour and record the Gear Up Daddy CD. 16 strong songs are included, most of them originals written by Doug Wilshire. The CD was recorded during the european tour at Rhythm Bomb Recording Service in Berlin. Trucking/Car drivin' songs like Gear Up Daddy and Kid Caddilac are included as well as 2 Hank Williams covers and bluesy songs like Hear My Plea and I Hung It Up from Junior Brown. Western Swing fans can expect strong originals like Four Broken Hearts, The Beer Tastes Better and covers like Blackberry Boogie with lots of steelguitar in it. Most of the songs were written by Doug Wilshire on their trip from Brisbane to Amsterdam. The Cruise Inn Boogie was written 2 hours before a gig in the famous Cruise Inn in Amsterdam.

People who like Dale Watson, Hank Williams, BR5-49 or the Derailers will love this stuff.

This CD has much more Rhythm'n'Blues influenced tracks than the others, especially because the band is backed-up by a hornblower section and a harp player! A fantastic selection of songs and eight of them are written by the band's frontman Doug Wilshire who is a songwriter genius with an unbelievable creative input. The musical range includes classic Rhythm'n'Blues tracks like Lonesome Train, Train Kept A Rollin', Hear My Plea, a Ska Bopper called Gonna Hurt You (this will be the earworm on this album), and more rough and rocky gems like Cowgirl Mama, Carny Folk, Hate Male or Married Man. A colored mixture and everybody will definitely find his favourite tune on this album.

Rayburn's second Rhythm Bomb CD is now released and no doubt he'll feature a couple of tracks at the Green Bay Festival in May . Titled "Big Bad City" it is all original material and sound samples can be heard at Lightning Recording Services website.Titles include "Mr Moon", ", Jump Jump Jump ", "Lonely Train " and "She Can Dream". Well known writer and Broadcaster Spencer Leigh( Radio Merseyside )has a four page article on Rayburn in the March 2007 edition of Country Music People Britains top country magazine. Rayburn will be playing dates in Sweden and Finland starting on March 3rd 2007. He has been busy recording over the past few months. He cut a cd's worth of material in Sweden in October and also cut 10 tracks in England...will let you know when these are available. He picked up a play on BBC Radio Shropshire where Marie Crichton played "Knoxville" from the "My Baby's Car Crazy" cd. The title track of this was played on the Car Crazy automobile show in the USA.

The Ballroom Rockets have blasted off and are soaring to unknown heights with their new CD "Atomic"! Aptly named, because this CD is "The Bomb"! What a real pleasure it was to listen and really enjoy all 18 songs.
Singer, bass player, Fabian Rosmaity comes on strong with sure vocals so convincingly done, you’d swear that boy came straight out of the hills of Tennessee. His bass playing
is unbelievably phenomenal. Singing and playing the bass like that, all I can say is "Wow"!
Also impressive is the guitar work of "Big Brother" Christoph Rosmaity. In a 3 piece band the guitar player carries "the weight of the world" on his shoulders and Christoph does this with "Herculean ease", bringing a refreshing sound and a new vitality to these songs. He is truly one of the best European guitarists in this "Genre" of music I’ve heard in a long time. Close your eyes and listen. Was that Duane Eddy sitting in? Did I just hear Scotty Moore? He’s all of that and more.
René Lieutenant is a strong and dynamic drummer. He sticks to ”the ole 2 and 4” like gum on your shoe and rides the hurricane, these guys are on like an anchored ship in
the sea. He also wrote one of my favourite songs on the CD "Tiki Twister". So put on your dancing shoes and grab your partner or park your old truck under the shade tree, kick back and open up an "Ice cold beer", because here comes "The Ballroom Rockets"!!
