One of the rarest and most sought-after record releases from the last half-century of Elvis Presley collectibles, the big ten-incher titled Janis and Elvis was issued through Teal Records, the company who had the local license to issue RCA records in South Africa at the time, and the elusive original now commands figures in excess of $5,000.

Sadly, while this release was in production we learned that Janis had been diagnosed with a terminal illness and she has since died. She will be a sadly-missed figure on the current rock 'n' roll scene, having been an indefatigable and exciting performer throughout her life. R.I.P. Janis.

The Pinstripes are a hot Kick-Ass Rockabilly trio founded in 2001 in Stuttgart, Germany. The band plays good old Rock & Roll music with a very modern sound. Their live programm includes cover versions from well known Rock & Roll tracks (e.g. from Johnny Kidd & The Pirates, Wanda Jackson, Vince Taylor), well known Rock songs played as Rockabilly versions (e.g. by AC/DC, Jimmy Hendrix) as well as originals written by the trio itself.

The Pinstripes have been support act so far for bands such as Bill Haley's Original Comets, Paul Ansell's Number Nine, Restless, Mad Sin, Mad Heads and Evil Devil. Thanks to countless club and festival gigs the band has a huge fan following all over Germany and Europe.

The debut album of this German Rockabilly trio, who themselves refer to their style as "Kick-Ass Rockabilly”, was a banger, and the reviews were all extremely positive. The reviewer of the British “Koolsville” magazine, for example, wrote: “... the best new Neo Rockabilly I’ve heard in donkeys years.”

A long-standing friendship and various mutual musical projects in the past have joined together the three members of this Neo Rockabilly band who come from the South of Germany and have played together since 2001. Headed by the lead singer and lead guitarist Artur "Spike" Gramm, who composes most of the band's original material, the trio is completed by Hagen Offterdinger on drums and Oliver "O-Lee" Hyttrek" on double bass. In the past few years, the Pinstripes have appeared at numerous major Rockabilly festivals such as the Walldorf Weekender or the Brandenburg Festival, and have played a whole heap of gigs in clubs all over Germany, thus acquiring an ever growing fan base. The Pinstripes refer to their style as "Kick-Ass Rockabilly", which results from more than 15 years of experience with different bands and from the stylistic influences associated with these musical experiences.

The Moonlight Cruisers are an LA-based roots rock band highly influenced by Rockabilly and traditional Mexican music, among many other types. Established in 2000, the Cruisers began playing the local Rockabilly scene at backyard parties and small bars. Fronted by crooner and teen heart-throb Tony Pelayo of Flaming Aces and Sires fame, guitarist Al "Whirly-fingers" Martinez, bassist Sergio "Fito" Arroyo, and Aaron "Redburns" Martinez, who compile the Sundown Trio of old, came together for a perfect fit.

Early on, the guys in the Moonlight Cruisers began experimenting with their Rockabilly crowd by doing something entirely unheard-of for a Rockabilly band; mix Cumbias and other traditional Mexican music into their set. Little did they know their love for Rockabilly and Mexican music would be shared by many. Dubbed by some unknown source as "Cumbia Cats", the Cruisers built a fan base of gals and guys who like to shake their buns and watch some high-energy Rockabilly and on-stage antics. Along the way to becoming a premier act in the Rockabilly circuit, the Moonlight Cruisers invented a new sound now labeled Cumbiabilly.

The Cruisers are the greatest new sensation of latino roots Rock and Roll since Los Lobos and with their long-awaited CD out now on El Toro, the Moonlight Cruisers are sure to be playing new places and making new fans muy pronto!

MISSISSIPPI QUEEN is the oldest, longest, truest-to-a-rockabilly-bone drumless trio in Croatia. Founded in late 1989 by Karlo Starcevic and some other hepcats those days, they soon started playing around the Zagreb area - this is not a beer factory, but capitol city -
eventually forming that unique slappin sound provided by Jurica`s bass.
There were a whole lotta recording sessions, and whole bunch of recorded songs put down since 1989, but the real thing came in 2006 with their first official album for the Rhythm Bomb Records, "Did You Say Love?".
Now we're proud to present a brand new album for the Rhythm Bomb.The band is sharper then ever with the new guitar picker Axel Praefcke,and these guys sure deserve their place in a rockabilly heaven!
