Music that sounds like cool cocktails, fast cars, humid nights and hot chicks....
In May 2010 TUTWEILER recorded their debut album – now it´s out!
The record is produced by American west-coast blues legend James Harman, one of the really big names in the genre – both as a singer/harp player, composer and producer!
A collaboration made possible by Danish Blues Man Peter Nande. From the studio in Copenhagen, Denmark the album travelled to Oceanside, California, USA!
Here Harman mixed the album with his musical partner – and very cool cat – Nathan James. The album consists solely of original tunes – and the title ”Comin In” bares witness
to an up-coming band more than ready to enter the blues scene! TUTWEILER play their blues cool and suave with vintage vibes and a laid back approach.
The sound is very personal, but the American west coast is never far away!
The band was founded by Andreas Andersen and Thomas Foldberg in 2007. The band quickly caught the attention of the blues audience in Copenhagen.
The goal is to play original blues music - mainly based around the west coast tradition - but with influences from both the delta and Chicago as well!
In 2009 Danish harp ace Peter Nande set up the band with James Harman who said yes to produce the bands first album!
In 2010 a handful of tunes were ready to be taken to the studio - and over 4 days in May the album was recorded!
Now the band is playing as many live gigs as possible - while writing new songs for the next album.
"The first one is very studio-ish without being polished, but the next will be recorded dirty as hell, live in the studio - direct to tape!" Says Mr. Andersen and Mr. Foldberg
